Thousands of enthusiastic youths from all corners of the globe gathered at Redemption City, Ogun State, to partake in this extraordinary event, which was designed to promote Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth.

The convention drew an impressive turnout, with over 4,000 attendees registering for the Career Fair, showcasing the youth’s eagerness to explore employment opportunities and develop their careers.

Distinguished HR professionals representing various renowned organizations in Nigeria were present at the Career Fair, offering invaluable one-on-one CV review and career counseling sessions to eager job seekers. The fair not only provided a platform for job seekers to enhance their employability but also fostered connections between future talents and potential employers.

The esteemed Intercontinental Youth Pastor of RCCG, Pastor Belemina Obunge, and the National Youth Pastor of RCCG, Nigeria, Pastor Sola Owoeye, both instrumental in the establishment of the Employment Bureau, personally supervised the event to ensure its resounding success.

A highlight of the event was a motivational talk delivered by the branch chairman of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Ogun State Branch, Engr. Sean Olabode Badiru. In his address on “Maximizing Employability,” he shared valuable insights and strategies for job seekers to excel in the competitive job market. The Career Fair was not just a platform for learning and networking; it also yielded tangible results for many attendees. Several youths walked away with immediate employment offers, demonstrating the event’s practical impact on the lives and futures of the participants.

The success of the Career Fair was made possible through the generous support and collaboration of various partners, including Blakskill, Bankly, and CIPM Ogun State Branch, among others. Their commitment to empowering young talents and promoting decent work and economic growth aligns perfectly with the mission of the RCCG Young Adults and Youth Affairs.

As the Career Fair came to a close, it left a trail of inspiration and opportunities for the youth who attended, reiterating the commitment of the RCCG Young Adults and Youth Affairs to fostering youth development, employability, and sustainable economic growth.
