St. Dominic Parish Ruwa yesterday, 11 June 2023, bade farewell to Fr. Antonio Llamas a Claretian priest who has been working in Zimbabwe for 21 years. Fr. Antonio came to Zimbabwe from Spain on 29 January 2002. He has been a priest for 29 years after having been ordained in 1994.

Fr. Antonio is leaving Zimbabwe to take up a new post in Rome where he will coordinate the Commission for Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation for the Claretian Missionaries.

Fr. Antonio worked as a Parish Priest in Zimbabwe under Gokwe Diocese as well as in the Archdiocese of Harare. He has worked at St Dominic parish in Ruwa for six years while he served at St. Claret Mission, Zhomba in Gokwe for 13 years. For two years, Fr. Antonio worked at the Claretian formation house in Harare.
